My project will use the medium between digital and physical space in order to transcend the audience into a new perspective of their surroundings. This will be done using stereoscopic projections into a physical space composed of screens with physical objects attached to them (if not possible to get stereoscopic screen for projection, , project non-stereo onto a 3D surface to morph the environment as a preliminary version).
The space will be composed of screens made of translucent fabric stretched over frames. The viewer would ideally be able to walk through these screens with stereo glasses on and feel like they are entering different rooms of a house. They perspective of what these rooms are will be changed using the projections interacting with whatever physical objects will exist on the screens.
For equipment I will need a stereoscopic projector. If not possible, just a regular projector. Possibly both.
I'd like to have this be in one of the hallways, although the screens can be hung from the ceiling in the middle of the gallery, I'm just not sure it will be dark enough to get a good view of the projections.
